Step 1
Start with clean, dry hair
Volume starts with a clean base. Your scalp produces natural oil (sebum) in sebaceous glands that are connected to your hair follicles. For hair that's straight to wavy in texture, that oil can weigh your hair down, especially if your hair is fine in density. A fresh wash to gently remove excess oil and buildup is non-negotiable if you want your style to last all day.
Wash with the Shower Duo, then air dry or use a blow dryer on a light setting to quickly dry your hair. Remember, your hair will only look the way you want it to if you start with the right foundation, so don't skip this step.
Step 2
Build volume with Hair Clay
Using your finger, grab about a dime-sized amount of Hair Clay and rub it between your palms to warm it up. You want your hands to look evenly coated with the product, with no clumps left. This thins it out so you can easily spread it across your hair.
Next, rub your hands through your dry hair. Focus on getting the Hair Clay evenly spread across all your hair; don't worry about styling it yet. If you have a wide-tooth comb, you can run it through your hair to ensure everything is even. Remember not to forget the back of your head; you want volume and texture everywhere, not just on top of your head.
Once it's worked in, run your fingers through your hair, lifting up and away from your scalp. This is what helps to create volume right at your roots, and gives your hairstyle hold.

Step 3
Lock it in with Texture Powder
Grab your bottle of Texture Powder, hold it 4 to 6 inches away from your hair, and spray it 2 to 4 times total, aiming towards your roots. It might help to think of spraying once on both sides of your head, once on top of your head, and once in the back, to make sure everything is even. This will lock your style in place, giving your hair additional texture and oil control for strong, all-day hold.
Use your fingers to scrunch and lift your hair into the style you want until you're happy with the end result.
That is the whole routine. Under five minutes, and you're done.
