What is hypochlorous acid?

Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a molecule your immune system produces naturally to fight bacteria and calm inflammation. The moment your immune system senses a threat, like bacteria getting into a cut, your white blood cells produce hypochlorous acid on the spot to shut it down. It's one of your body's oldest built-in defenses, and it has been doing this job for as long as humans have existed.

In skincare, like our Skin Revival Spray, we've recreated the same molecule, at a skin-safe, stable concentration you can spray on. That's why it works so well; your body already recognizes it and knows what to do with it.

What does hypochlorous acid do for skin?

  • Calms irritation and redness. Hypochlorous acid has documented anti-inflammatory effects and has been studied for reducing itch and calming reactive, easily-irritated skin.

  • Reduces surface bacteria. As a broad-spectrum antimicrobial, HOCl lowers the microbial load on the skin, which is one reason it is studied in the context of acne-prone and blemish-prone skin.

  • Supports skin after friction or heat. Its gentleness makes it a common choice after shaving, workouts, and sun exposure, when skin is most reactive.

Does hypochlorous acid really work?

Absolutely. Hypochlorous Acid is a science-backed molecule that has been studied for more than 100 years and used in medical settings for decades. It's naturally produced by your immune system to fight bacteria and support healing, and widely used in wound care, eye and eyelid hygiene, and other healthcare applications because it's both effective and exceptionally gentle. It's suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive skin, and won't sting or disrupt your skin barrier.

What does Skin Revival Spray smell and feel like?

Don't be surprised if you notice a faint chlorine or pool-like scent. That's completely normal and it's actually a sign that you're using real Hypochlorous Acid, not added fragrance. The scent comes from the active molecule itself and disappears within seconds after application. On your skin, it feels just like cool, refreshing water mist: lightweight, non-sticky, and very calming.

How to use Skin Revival Spray

Spray onto clean skin and let it absorb. There is nothing to rinse off. It layers cleanly under other products and works morning or night. The most common moments to reach for it are after shaving, after the gym, after sun, or any time skin feels irritated or inflamed.
